The Realist
Episode 4: Besties
The Realist IS BACK! And this time we’ve brought friends. Now in partnership with Morley Radio and the Ragdoll Foundation, in each episode you will hear from the young people of Waterloo Community Theatre recorded from the amazing Morley Radio Studios, as well as out and about on the streets of SE1.
Today’s episode of the Realist we are talking besties.
We kick things off with a friendship scene, and then dive into an episode of the sitcom F.R.I.E.N.D.S (written by someone who has never seen an episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S
We play a game to see who knows their friends the best then Bess is back with the NEWS FLASH, which, given the way the news has gone recently, will be out of date by the time it is up.
And then this week’s BIG CONVERSATION asks ‘what makes a good friend?’
Finally, Rachel offers thoughts on the topic to sum up the episode in RACHEL’S REFLECTIONS.
What should we talk about in the next episode? Let us know on social media.

This episode was recorded at Morley Radio Studios in SE1 and at our weekly sessions.
‘The Realist’ was conceived during lockdown to explore bridging the distance between us over the airwaves. Each week during our sessions (held via Zoom) we went live on the internet exploring work from our previous projects and create new work exploring themes close to our hearts. We now share that work with the world via Morley Radio (with thanks to them and The Ragdoll Foundation for their support.
