The Bridge – a big adventure for a small city rat
An audio recording of Page One Theatre’s play The Bridge is written by Miles Mitchell and Chloe Stephens. A poignant and poetic tale to inspire children and adults alike.

The Bridge tells the story of Lucien, a lonely city rat who watches the pigeons from under Waterloo Bridge and wishes he could join them in the sky. One day he spots the most beautiful pigeon and follows her into the lights of the big city…

Actor’s Biographies:

Ajjaz Awad trained as an actor at RADA and ALRA, during her training, she was awarded The Laurence Olivier Award Bursary. Since graduating, she has worked professionally as an actor/puppeteer, recent theatre credits include: There’s a Rang-Tan In My Bedroom (The Little Angel Theatre) Zorro: The Musical (Charing Cross Theatre), How Not To Drown (Traverse Theatre) and The Snow Queen (South Street Arts). She will soon be appearing as: Dora Shafiq in Radio 4’s The Tomb. As well as this, she has recently played various characters in Big Finish Productions of Dr Who and Huda Shaarawi in Al Jazeera’s series Hindsight. In recent years, she has turned her hand to writing, having just completed The Tamasha’s Playwrights Group and The Royal Court’s Playwrights Group, she had her first scratch of a play at The Soho Theatre: Mixed Feelings, which has been longlisted for The ETPEP Award. She is currently writing an audio interactive drama for Tamasha Theatre and will soon be writing an episode for the Radio version of Dr Who.

Miles Mitchell graduated from The BRIT School and Rose Bruford drama school. He is a co-founder of Page One Theatre. Miles has worked with Graeae Theatre Company on the regional tour of Blood Wedding and Talawa Theatre company on King Lear which he won the Best Emerging Actor Award. His theatre credits include The Theatre Royal Haymarket, The National Theatre, The Lyric Hammersmith, The Young Vic and most recently The Royal Shakespeare Company. Miles’ TV and film credits include BBC’s Holby City, BBC’s Casualty, Drifters, Law & Order, King Lear : The Film, The Tempest on CBBC. He plays the lead in feature film Dawn Chorus and will soon appear in feature films The Payday and LORE.
