Season 2 Episode 2: Female Involvement in Serious Youth Violence

Guests: Simon Mayo and Emma Murphy

Warning: This podcast contains conversations about topics that some people might find upsetting or triggering. Discretion is advised.

Powered by You is a visual podcast produced and hosted by Zino Khalfaoui (RBKC) in collaboration with Morley Radio (Morley College London) where he invites young adults from the local community to discuss the latest hot topics which impact their lives such as health, education, creativity, family life, and physical wellbeing. This podcast will also promote various programmes, raise awareness and increase civic participation.

In this episode, Zino will be talking to Simon Mayo who is a SYVE Youth Engagement Worker in the Community Safety Team (RBKC) and Emma Murphy (Westminster) who is a females gang worker about the female involvement in serious youth violence, and within the conversation we’ll touch on the concept of honey trapping and other related issues. Hopefully this will help us identify some key motivators for young women being in serious youth violence and gangs
