Hopefully theatres will open soon but meanwhile here’s Morley tutor, Caryle Webb-Ingall, talking to her guest, Sarah Mitchell, about London theatres. Caryle will be describing a disastrous fire 200 years ago in Drury Lane despite the most up to date health and safety precautions. Shakespeare and The Globe will be discussed and music halls and closures. Sarah will explain how her family were very much involved in music in the theatre including ‘blacking up’ and their connection to Beethoven. Bridgeton even gets a mention!
