In a Flap
Episode 1: Danger!
Guests: Jane Stocks and Robert Stocks
‘In a Flap’ : Rhythm Tap Student Stories is a series hosted by Lexi Bradburn, teacher at Morley College Waterloo and beyond. In running eighteen Rhythm Tap-dance courses a term across four levels, Lexi has a steady stream of delightful and diverse students tapping at her door! This podcast is here to take a moment to get to know some of her students outside the busy schedule of their tap classes together. Inviting a new student each episode – Lexi wants to find out who her students are, what they do outside of class, why they come to tap and what makes them tick.
In our pilot episode Lexi talks to Jane and Rob Stocks, Rhythm Tap students of over eight years. As a married couple who began their tap journey together we discuss what brought them to starting a hobby together and how it’s going. We explore their differences when practising at home and how they managed to continue tapping over the pandemic. And we make some ridiculous discoveries about an audition that went wrong and a dubious middle name.
