Episode 12: Joshua Elmore
A podcast that takes a peek inside Morley College, its inhabitants and wonders who are the people that make up this world. Host Lana Citron will be chatting to different members from the Morley community; a tutor, student or member of the staff – wondering what makes them tick, what inspires them, their aspirations and hopes and how they found themselves within the world of Morley.
In this episode Lana speaks to Joshua Elmore. Joshua Elmore is a native of Mobile, Alabama, U.S.A. At Morley College, he is an Executive Administration Officer who supports the Marketing and Engagement Team, the Centre Principal of the Chelsea Centre, and the Chief Finance Officer. Josh is also an opera singer. He studied at the University of Southern Mississippi where he received a bachelor’s degree in music education and at the University of Leeds where he received a master’s degree in vocal performance. He has performed in the U.S., the Caribbean, Europe, and the UK where he presented several recitals, premiered pieces, and has been the soloist in numerous works.
Josh’s next performance will be at the Kings Head Theatre where he will be singing in two Puccini operas in November. More details here.
In his spare time, Elmore enjoys going to the gym, eating, and laughing over a pint (not simultaneously or in that particular order). This year, in his journey to a healthier lifestyle, he has lost 50lbs which is one of his greatest accomplishments. ‘Whatever you do, keep going, work hard, and don’t give up in anything you do!’
