Creative Conversations
Episode 5: Jacqueline Sealy
Welcome to Creative Conversations, a podcast series where Morley College students and Morley Radio volunteers meet with local role models in the creative industries, they will tell us first hand their career paths and how they got to where they are today, hopefully inspiring the next generation of creatives who live and study in the borough, as well as our listeners. This podcast is brought to you by Morley Radio and The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea.
Jacqueline Sealy is one of the newly appointed Subject Leaders in the Fashion department at Morley College in Chelsea. She has been with the college for 18 months but in that short time has taught Pattern Cutting and Construction as well as delivering technical workshops.
Jacqueline graduated from The London College of Fashion in 1990 and after completing her studies she then worked extensively in the fashion industry in a variety of roles. After several years working in the industry, she returned to the London College of Fashion, where she would work for 25 years in a variety of technical and teaching roles. It was during this time that she completed her teaching qualification at Greenwich University.
For several years, Jacqueline has also taught short workshop programmes at the Istanbul Moda Fashion Academy in Turkey, helping develop their students’ technical and sewing skills.
