Co[v]ping Diaries

Episode 6: Harrie Notton

Welcome to the Co[v]ping Diaries. A podcast where our Morley Radio community will be sharing their self- isolation stories, anecdotes and tips on how to stay busy and motivated during this challenging time for us all.

In this episode, Harrie Notton, Marketing & Communications Manager at WeAreWaterloo, will be taking to us about her experiences in this self-isolating/social distancing new world.

Each and every one of my friends is baking banana bread! Here’s the link to a recipe that worked for me.

My parents and I do a virtual pub quiz every Friday night, via author Lucy Sheridan’s instagram (‘live’ function) – with rounds ranging from 90s RnB and 00s pop punk, it’s way cooler than run-of-the-mill quizzes!

I keep fit by doing a range of classes on ‘Own Your Goals’. They’re offering a free 30 day membership, and you don’t need to put your bank details in to get started.

I’m really enjoying listening to BadBadNotGood, a Canadian instrumental group. Go for a walk and listen to this (a live version I found on Youtube)

I’ve set myself the task of reading one book per week, and I have just finished a stonker of a book – Bernadine Evaristo’s ‘Girl, Woman, Other‘. I gobbled it up in a matter of days. Why not shop small, and reach out to your local independent bookshop to see whether they’ve got a copy they can send you.
