Series 2 Episode 2: Matthew Turner
This podcast is an opportunity to learn about the great work and projects being done in education that are taking advantage of what podcasts have to offer. We will explore the benefits and some of the challenges of using podcasts with educators, researchers and practitioners from a variety of disciplines who are using them within their teaching and research.
In this episode Carl Hartley is joined by Matthew Turner from Tokyo University of Science to look at Podcasting as an approach to reflective practice for educators in the field of language teaching. Matthew contributed a chapter to EPOD’s first book and will also have a chapter in the second book of our series. Matthew talks about how Podcasting offers spaces for peer collaboration and reflective practice, which involves systematically rethinking professional beliefs, knowledge, and actions. You can read his chapter in ‘Podcasting and Education – Concepts, Communities and Case Studies’.
