This podcast is an opportunity to learn about the great work and projects being done in education that are taking advantage of what podcasts have to offer. We will explore the benefits and some of the challenges of using podcasts with educators, researchers and practitioners from a variety of disciplines who are using them within their teaching and research.

 

In this episode Carl Hartley is joined by Rachel-Ann Charles, Course Director – BA (Hons) Journalism & Senior Lecturer Media and Communication at Birmingham University. Rachel lectures across undergraduate courses within the School of Media and wrote a chapter for the first EPOD book entitled ‘Decolonising Media Studies through Podcasting’. They discuss her route into education her use of podcasting and how it’s helping remove gatekeepers.
